Matt Schofield spent 35 years travelling the world and writing about it. To be fair, he wrote almost exclusively about the nasty bits of the world: the wars, the terrorism, the disasters. So, if you sat down next to him and asked for a story to justify paying for his next drink, you’d hear one that began in a dimly lit false storefront in Nablus, a small city in the Palestinian Territory of Israel, surrounded by a bunch of guys with guns. To hear the story, of course, you'd need to buy that drink.
