We love to talk about story here on Litopia After Dark – and in particular, the impact that new media is having on its development, production and consumption. Are we entering a Promised Land full of storytelling richness, fuelled by ubiquitous multimedia devices – or is this merely the beginning of a new Dark Age, when story – and therefore authors – are devalued?
Someone who’s taken the bull by the horns on this issue is Andrea Buchanan, no stranger to listeners of Litopia After Dark, whose new work Gift is a feast of storytelling sumptuousness – including not just words, but music and songs, characters’ diaries and comics, too. Is this the way of the future? Listen, and decide for yourself!
With Litopian and special guest Geoff North, presented by Peter Cox with Dave Bartram and featuring the immortal Ali Gardiner in the chat room.

We couldn’t do it without you, and that’s the truth. You really do keep us on the air.
If you value truly independent broadcasting – not beholden to special interest groups, the curse of political correctness or some nefarious media baron – then please support us now.
Here are our goals…
Goal #1: We Go Weekly!
We’d love to be with you more often than once a month. But every show needs a lot of time to prepare… Our first goal is to produce a top-quality show every week – please help us get there!
Goal #2: We Go Video!
Wouldn’t it be nice to see our guests? Video will add a new dimension to what we do (and yes, we’ll always have top-quality audio available, too).
Goal #3: We Go On The Road!
Help LAD get off our tushies and produce some of the best location shows you’ve ever heard. We can do it – with your help!
You can cancel at any time (but we hope you won’t!). And thank you – your kind patronage truly makes all the difference.
