virgin snowflakes
quilted snow -
grasses grasp a breeze
and rustle
iced eyelashes -
tears grow lights
that will never fall
a winter sunset
is loud in silence -
birds listen
old words tingle
in warm memories -
eyes smile
snow crystals drink
daylight dry -
glow into night
