winter haiku

David Bridger's picture

sharp sunlight

through frosted trees -

slender shadows

laughing lovers -

tongues taste

virgin snowflakes

quilted snow -

grasses grasp a breeze

and rustle

iced eyelashes -

tears grow lights

that will never fall

a winter sunset

is loud in silence -

birds listen

old words tingle

in warm memories -

eyes smile

snow crystals drink

daylight dry -

glow into night

David,

Beautiful images. I particularly like "birds listen" and "eyes smile".
